What is VoIP? Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the ability to transmit voice over the Internet to either a receiving computer, telephone or even a mobile phone. VoIP works by using a network technology known as Packet Switching Network whereas landline telephones use the Circuit Switching Network.
